kung hei fat choi!

one more compre exam to go and i'm done! spent last week dragging myself to review sessions for my compre written. i did okay. me thinks. i was going through my dusty pro cooking book when i came upon some poetry i've written i don't remember when. yes, the poem was heartbreaking but the funny thing was i can't seem to remember who it was for. talk about bad memory. i used to do that all the time. stuff things in between books, or weird places and just forget all about it. one time i found like four grand in my camera bag and couldn't remember why i had money there. anyway...that's done and over with so i have more important things to worry about- like apprenticeship applications, jumpstarting my so called-career, and winning ladies night tourney this coming friday. actually, i'm more worried about people not betting on me! it's an all women tourney, where the guys just watch and bet on who they think will win the game. i haven't played a single game since last year, i'm afraid i wouldn't last an hour. but hey, as i always say "you never know."
friends came over last night for the big cookie bake. my "perfect" oven produced some not-so-perfect cookies! HAHA karen... next time, bring a timer! :) speaking of ovens, i KNOW i need to buy a new one. it's a necessity i can't bring myself to purchase due to finances.
today is sunday and i'm just bumming around the house enjoying the gloom and overcast. am thinking of going back to painting. it's such therapy. got one still unfinished from like 9 years ago. if i find it maybe i'll post it here. in the meantime i'm off for some online poker.
