tight is right

i'm back. classes are over, just a week away from christmas day. spent the last two weeks finishing up my paper and doing some errands here and there. i can't believe it's almost end of the year. i still haven't done any holiday shopping- what christmas spirit i have... woke up this morning still on tilt from yesterday's airport poker tourney. i played horribly. panicked when everyone was doubling up and i haven't been dealt a single decent card. my pocket nines are haunting me- folded them when an ace fell on the flop and my opponent re-reraised my one thousand to two. ugh. why do i have a feeling, NOW, that he didn't have aces?! so after two hours of mediocre hands (and freezing my butt off) i got busted with my jack ten suited. was short stacked and when i had the straight on the flop, i had to go all in with also a flush draw. but much to my horror, someone called it with a higher flush draw. grrrr!!! there were a hundred and fifteen players competing not to mention some pros scattered here and there. hey, at least i was out after the wsop champ LOL the tournament was fun nonetheless. i gotta brush up on my game before the next big tourney comes along- that's if i get staked. in the meantime, i'm off to do my christmas gift list for some last minute shopping :)
