i've never seen anything more colorful

mid-may i headed off to quezon for the pahiyas festival. braved the rains and kept my fingers crossed that weekend as the radio announced signal number three in the region. we arrived just in time for lunch. the city was blacked out and the weather freezing cold. we stayed mostly indoors the first two days, or walked around restaurant hopping trying out all the different foods the place has to offer. amazingly, the sun lit up on the day of the festival. people began decorating their houses early morning- some tried to salvage damaged kiping garlands from the heavy rains. i, on the other hand, got my d50 ready for its first shoot. :)
